Palm Beach Atlantic University was founded in 1968 with the express purpose of providing an educational environment which fosters the free enterprise system and encourages the development of high moral character and social responsibility.

These characteristics attracted the founder of the Johnson Scholarship Foundation to provide scholarships for applicants who demonstrate financial need, with emphasis placed on students from middle income families.

Palm Beach Atlantic University has been a core beneficiary of the Johnson Scholarship Foundation since its inception. As our largest beneficiary they receive $1,200,000 annually for their scholarship program.

Palm Beach Atlantic University is an accredited undergraduate and graduate school of approximately 3,000 students with its main campus located in downtown West Palm Beach, Florida.
