In 2006, the Foundation made a grant of $25,000 to Palm Beach Community College to provide matching scholarships for First Generation students. In 2007, the Foundation made an identical grant. These grants are intended to tie in with the State of Florida’s First Generation scholarship program to provide scholarship assistance for children of parents who did not complete a course of study at a post-secondary educational institution.
